We are Enactus. Active in Wageningen, but also present on more than 1800 other campuses. With us, you can start your own business that also contributes to a fair and sustainable world. Through guest lectures, workshops and a large network through Enactus Netherlands, we offer you ample opportunity for personal and professional development.
Enactus Wageningen currently consists of 27 members and 5 board members. Every Thursday evening (20:00 – 22:00) we meet at Plus Ultra II for our members’ evening. Here members meet about the development of their startups, workshops are held and there is room for getting to know new people. Most events also take place during these evenings. Last year we hosted several cool guest speakers. Besides the formal evenings, our Event Manager also organizes informal events. For example, there is team building and a farewell dinner at the end of the year. We also occasionally organize activities that are open to all WUR students: earlier this year we visited Viscon group and soon Cosun (vegan meat substitutes) is on the planning.
An Enactus year begins in September or February. You can apply at these two times during the year. As a project member, we expect you to put about 4-6 hours into your undertaking. Most of your participation is already in the members’ evening, the rest you can divide in your own time. Thus, project member is a flexible position. For the events, workshops, guest lectures and membership we ask for a small voluntary contribution of €8.50 per month. Enactus Wageningen currently has six ongoing projects:
Uniplastic, MuMo, Sprout, Cleafy, Talk The Future, and our new Think Tank.
In addition to projects, we also have a committee: Enactus Hackathon Committee.
