About our initiative!
InsectImpact started with the idea that the current way in which we consume proteins is not sustainable. We believe that insects are the protein source of the future. Therefore, we want to break the taboo of eating insects. To achieve this, we have searched for ways to lower the threshold of consuming insects. Our goal is to encourage insect consumption by processing insect powder into daily food products. This way, people can come into contact with insect consumption in a non-threatening way.
We are a very hands-on team, this means that even though you are applying for a specific position, we often help each other out. Especially when it comes to baking, giving presentations to potential clients and selling the brownies at events. This means you fully get to experience what it means to be an entrepreneur.
Product Manager
As our product manager you are responsible for managing all aspects of our production. You are responsible for optimizing our current cricket brownie production line and making the baking process more efficient. Background knowledge and interest in food products, production processes and baking is preferred but not a necessity. InsectImpact works closely with the local refugee center in which the refugees help us bake our brownies. Therefore we expect you to be well-spoken, communicative, organized and creative! You can expect a fun and diverse team in which you have all the freedom to develop your professional skills.
Tasks that are part of this function are:
- Optimizing the InsectImpact production line
- Work together and communicate with the AZC team and its refugees
- Improve the current product when necessary
